This pipa concerto is inspired by Li Bai’s poem “Qing Ping Diao” (A Song of Pure Happiness): “Her dress is like colourful clouds, her face is like beautiful flowers, spring breeze blows on the threshold, and the dew is rich.” This work uses a beautiful and elegant melody and lively dance rhythms to express deep emotions.
