The pear-shaped pipa is a plucked string instrument introduced from Central Asia during the Jin Dynasty (266-420). It has 4 strings and 30 frets, and has many challenging playing techniques, with a great range in expression.

All things in nature begins, blooms, and ends quietly, then begins again. “Blossom at Dawn” depicts the circle of life where there is no beginning nor end, but a continuous loop.
